Setting up

Configure sound alerts to notify contact center users when critical results reach 'Not Picked Up' status.

Media Autoplay Settings

1. Click the three dots in Microsoft Edge → Settings

   
2. Navigate to 'Media Autoplay':

   • Search for 'Media autoplay' in the Settings page search bar, or

     
   • Select 'Cookies and site permissions' → 'Media autoplay'

     
3. Set 'Control if audio and video play automatically' to 'Allow'

   
4. Add rooster.gov.sg to the allowed sites list

   

System Performance Settings

1. Navigate to 'System and performance' in the settings sidebar

2. Turn OFF both settings:

   • 'Efficiency mode'

   • 'Save resources with sleeping tabs'

For users that need to access multiple institutions

Rooster doesn't support multiple institutions in tabs within one window. Use separate browser profiles to access different institutions simultaneously.

Setup process:

1. Sign out of your Microsoft Edge account

   

   

1. Create separate profiles for each institution you need to access

   

1. Sign back in using the same account in each profile

   

   Each institution will now run in its own browser window with a separate profile.
