Set up leave rosters to ensure effective scheduling throughout the month.

Upon selecting the on-call roster option, you will find a base template as shown.

By default, there are only two columns:

  • Date: Indicating the date of leave.

  • Leave: Indicating the doctor on leave on the date.

Assigning Leaves

  1. On the roster page, click 'Edit Assignments' (ways to assign are outlined below).

Ways to assign

Adding or editing assignment(s)
  1. Hover over the cell to which you would like to add your assignee(s), and click 'Add Assignment'.

  • Alternatively, click on 'Bulk Assign' to add your assignee(s).

  1. Select staff, and leave type on the pop-up.

  • You can search for staff by their display name, MCR number, designation, or by scrolling through the dropdown menu.

  • You can select more than 1 staff.

  1. (Optional) Edit leave dates.

  • By default, an exact date should have already been selected.

  • You can select more than 1 date.

  • You can toggle between 'Exact Date' and 'Date Range'.

  1. Click 'Add'.

  1. Once you have added all assignments, click 'Save Assignments'.

Impact of Leave Roster assignments

On Critical Result routing

If a routing rule includes an Ordering (OD) or Attending Doctor (AD) on leave, Rooster will skip them when routing the critical results alert.

These conditions must be met:

  • Doctor is on 'Full day' leave (doctors on AM or PM leaves will not be skipped).

  • Routing rule has "Skip doctors on leave" been turned on.

Configuration in the 'Routing Rule'

Example: Doctor is on full day leave on 5 May

  • If a critical result arrives on 6 May at 7:30 am (before office hours that begin at 8 am the next day), the doctor will still be skipped.

  • Note: Office hours are derived from routing rules. Please check in with your administrator to find out the office hours.

On your Directory and Dashboard

Once your leave roster is updated with assignments, you will be able to see indicators for clinicians on leave on:

  • Directory: Leave indicators will appear on contacts on leave for the entire calendar day.

  • Critical Result Dashboard: Leave indicators will appear for Ordering or Attending doctors if they are on leave the day the critical alert was triggered.

Example: Doctor is on full day leave on 5 May

  • For office hours that start at 8 am, the indicator will be present till 6 May 7.59am and removed at 8am.

  • Note: Office hours are derived from routing rules. Please check in with your administrator to find out the office hours.
