What's New in July! (WIP)
As we are gearing to go live, our team is working hard to bring in many changes. Read on to see what we have hatched so far..
โ๏ธ Directory - Contacts โ๏ธ
Weโve been listening to your feedback, and weโre excited to share the latest improvements which are designed to streamline your experience and ensure you have quick access to the information you need.
'Adding New Contact' fields
To enhance the documentation process, weโve added a 'Current Posting' field for the 'Resource' contact type allowing you to keep your records neat and accurate. We have also made several UI changes to our contact fields to allow for a more seamless workflow while creating contacts:
Added an end date for current and next posting and a start date for current posting section
Email is optional for contact type = "Resource"
Added a validation for overriding end date in current posting if it's defined in next posting
Hid employee number for user roles with only read permissions to Directory
Downloads of Directory Codesets
Weโve enabled a feature that allows you to download the Directory codesets to an excel, making it easier to manage your data.
[NEW!] Share/Transfer Contacts Feature
Weโve heard from many of you about the frequent rotation of clinicians within institutions. To accommodate this, weโre excited to introduce the Share/Transfer Contacts feature! It allows you to:
View Contacts Across Institutions: See contacts from other institutions within your cluster, ideal for clinicians who are on a temporary move or play dual roles.
Transfer Contacts: Seamlessly transfer contacts between institutions, supporting your workflow without the need to recreate contacts.
๐ Critical Test Results Dashboard ๐
We recognise how essential the Critical Test Results Dashboard is for contact centre and lab users to deliver effective patient care. Here are some enhancement we have made:
Sound Alerts: Now enabled for 'Not picked up' results, even when you're not actively using the platform. The alert will sound as long as more than one case is on the dashboard.
UI Improvements: Weโve added the full location name, displayed the clinicianโs name who acknowledged the result in EPIC, a date sorting toggle, and a prompt to ensure users switch institutions if logging into a different one in the same browser session
Comprehensive Display: All critical results are now shown in the dashboard, including statuses like In Progress, Not Picked Up, Acknowledged (by SMS or EPIC), and Closed by System.
๐งช Result Filters๐งช
We analysed the issues which you raised and made some key improvements to our application logic.
Specimen Collection Time for First Presentation Logic: Weโve updated the logic to use the specimen collection time instead of the MSH timestamp.
Improved Result Filters : You can now include keywords with spaces in your result filters, making it easier to find exactly what you need. Additionally, weโve fixed the value validation for numeric conditions like "between" and "not between" to ensure they work as expected.
[NEW!] Locations to exclude: You can now select all locations but exclude specific ones you don't want to include. This ensures only results from relevant locations are marked as critical
[NEW!] Routing Critical Results to specific Routing Rules: You can now link specific critical result filters to specific routing rules, ensuring that your critical results are always directed according to the most relevant routing rule. This helps ensure that urgent cases reach the right team quickly and efficiently.
๐ Routing Rules ๐
[NEW!] Skip Manual Intervention: You can now set up certain routing rules to automatically bypass manual intervention. Simply link a critical result filter to a routing rule and turn on the 'Skip Manual Intervention' option to ensure that case does not reach the Ground Contact Centre. (GCC)
We've improved our error messages for conflicting routing rules to make troubleshooting easier and clearer.
๐บ Lab Screen ๐บ
Weโve rolled out some exciting updates to help you manage your lab results more efficiently:
UI Enhancements:
Masked UIN: Added for improved privacy.
Filter Options: Now filter by Lab Type, Status, and sort by Latest or Earliest.
๐๏ธ Rosters ๐๏ธ
๐๏ธ Monthly Roster
[NEW!] Rosters export feature:
We have introduced a new feature to allow you to export your rosters into an excel format. This will allow you to circulate the rosters around to relevant departments with ease.
Role permissions update:
The "Department Secretary" role has been updated to disable roster template creation, editing, and deletion rights, ensuring tighter control over your roster management process. Moving forward, department secretaries will only be able to modify the assignments , the headers and footers.
Fixes and improvements
Resolved issues with the monthly roster filter to enhance your filtering experience.
Adjusted roster cells to prevent long assignment names from spilling over, keeping your roster neat and readable.
๐
Daily Roster
Editing for daily rosters:
You can now easily correct any errors in your daily roster templates. Just click 'Edit template' to adjust the title, linked monthly roster, or columns.
We have also enabled you to edit daily rosters from the previous day, providing more flexibility in managing your schedules.
UI enhancements:
We've added a print view to make it easier for you to share roster information with your colleagues.
Additionally, weโve improved the search function to display only departments with more than one roster. This enhancement helps you quickly find the information you need, especially during emergencies.
๐ข Broadcast Messaging ๐ข
