Merging multiple panel test results into a single SMS

This guide will discuss about how we handle multiple panel test results. Rooster will merge them into a single SMS rather than triggering multiple SMS to the user.

How are panel test results merged into a single SMS ?

When lab results meet the following conditions, they will be merged into a single SMS:

1. This feature applies specifically to Lab results (e.g., Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology) and only if the results are reported within 5 seconds of each other.

2. It is only applicable to results under the following conditions:

   • Same patient NRIC

   • Same routing data (ordering doctor, attending doctor, specialty, location)

   • Same test accession number

   • Different MSH ID
