This section will guide you through the steps to activate site permissions to turn on sound alerts from Rooster on your Microsoft Edge browser.

How do I enable sound alerts on my browser?

Media Autoplay settings

1. In Microsoft Edge, navigate over to the Settings page by clicking on the three dots as shown below

1. Once in the settings page, navigate to 'Media Autoplay' on your device. You can locate this by searching for 'Media' in the search-bar and selecting 'Media autoplay' or by selecting 'Cookies and site permissions' in the left navigation bar and selecting 'Media autoplay'

1. Select from the dropdown menu next to 'Control if audio and video play automatically on sites', select 'Allow' as shown below

1. Add the following URL: rooster.gov.sg as shown below

For contact center users who need to access both UAT and PRD on Rooster, you may add following URL: [*.]rooster.gov.sg as shown below

System and performance settings

1. From the sidebar in the setting page, now navigate over to 'System and performance'

2. Turn off 'Efficiency mode' and 'Save resources with sleeping tabs' as shown below

All your settings have now been configured to allow the sound alerts to be configured on your browser.

How do I access the critical results dashboard for multiple institutions on my device?

Rooster currently does not support having multiple institutions in one window differentiated by tabs. To access Rooster for multiple institutions at once on your device, please follow the steps below.

1. Sign out of your account on Microsoft Edge

   

   
2. Create new profiles, one each for each institution you have to access simultaneously.

   

   
3. Each window should use a separate profile and relogin in using the same account. It should look like this:
