๐Ÿ”ŠCritical Test Results Dashboard

This section will guide you on how to view, intervene and act accordingly to any critical results which have not been picked up yet.

For Command Center Users, to notify that a Critical Result has reached your level of escalation, a sound notification will be played when result with status 'Not picked up' appears on your dashboard

How to View Critical Test Results ?

  1. Navigate to "Clinical" and click on "Critical Test Results"

  2. To view a particular result, search by NRIC/accession number or filter by Biochemistry/ECG/Haematology/Microbiology/Radiology. The current view would show all the critical results.

  1. Toggle to Outstanding Only to view only those that are still unresolved and have not been acted upon

Understanding the Critical Test Results Dashboard

  2. Lab Result Details shows the Lab Name, Accession No. Ordering Doctor and the Result Details

  3. Patient Details shows the Patient Identifiers, Speciality and Location based on the patient's movement

  4. Actions shows who it alerted to, at what time it was alerted/an action was taken and the current status

  5. 'Closed within X min' shows the time it took from when the escalation began to when someone acknowledged the result

Escalation history

In the escalation history, youโ€™ll find four key statuses: Acknowledged, Not Picked Up, In Progress, and Cancelled.

  • Acknowledged: This status appears when a doctor has acknowledged the result via SMS or EPIC (if applicable) or when the result has been manually intervened and closed by contact center users

    • If a result was automatically 'closed by system', likely due to a configuration that skips manual intervention

  • In Progress: Displays when a critical test result is currently escalating or when a ground contact centre (GCC) user is currently reassigning the result to a new clinician

  • Not Picked Up: Indicates that the result was escalated, but no response was received from the clinicians.

Handling 'Not picked up' Critical Results

If you're a Ground Contact Centre user dealing with results that have not been picked up, here's what you can do:

  1. Re-trigger the result: This would begin the escalation set according to the routing rules again. However, caveat that this time the clinician would only have 10 min to acknowledge the message.

  2. Manually Assign the Result: You can manually assign the result to yourself or another user by selecting the 'Assign to me' button. This will temporarily modify the status from 'Not picked up' to 'In progress'. GCC user assign it to another clinician by filling up the relevant fields.

    • Only 'Doctor / Staff' , 'Doctor / Staff Name' are mandatory field. Once these have been filled up, user should click on 'Submit'
