📞Setting up On-Call Rosters

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up on-call rosters, ensuring effective scheduling throughout the month.

Note that only the 'Roster Manager' or the 'Superuser' role can make any changes to the template of the roster (e.g creating, deleting or renaming columns). Refer to Types of User Roles:for more information on roles.

On-call Roster Setup

Upon selecting the on-call roster option, you will find a base template as shown.

Step 1: Modify columns to build your template

Select the dropdown under 'More' and select 'Modify Columns' to edit/add columns.

Step 2: Add Column Names (and Column Groups)

1. On the pop-up, there are two fields for you to fill:

   1. Column Names: Allows you to name your column according to roles, sessions etc.. Doctors assigned under this column will correspond to the role.

   2. Column Groups (Optional): Allows you to group the columns together. Columns under the same column groups will be grouped together.

2. Add the column name in the first column and click 'Add Column' if needed.

Example: 'Saturday & Eves of Christmas' is the overall column grouping for the columns 'CCU Primary Consultant, CCU Secondary Consultant.'

1. (Optional) Add Roster Notes

If you want to add additional information, hover over the column headers to add Roster notes.

Roster Notes can be used to indicate details that change frequently, such as ward or bed locations. For example, you can name the column Ward 4 and specify Bed 21-30 in the roster note.

Deleting & Renaming your columns

Deleting your columns:

Any deletions made to columns will only take effect from the current month onward. Data from previous months will remain unchanged.

1. Click on 'More' > 'Modify columns' of the relevant roster

2. Make sure your column does not have any assignments before deleting your column.

3. Click on the bin icon in red to delete relevant columns. Click 'Save' after your changes has been made.

1. You will not be able to delete a column if it is currently referenced in daily rosters for the month or routing rules or daily rosters(). Please remove all such references before proceeding with the deletion.

Renaming your columns

1. Click on 'More' > 'Modify columns' of the relevant roster and rename your column name or group.

2. Click 'Save' after your changes has been made.

3. Do note that once you rename your column, it will also update in other pages the roster has been referenced (i.e, Routing Rules, Daily Roster and Broadcast Message)

If a deleted column is recreated with the same name, any roster notes previously linked to that column will be restored.
