Adding assignments

  1. If you had selected the leave roster option, you will find a base template of it as shown.

  1. Add assignees to this roster to keep track of which clinicians are on leave.

  2. You can select your leave period indicator. These include: AM leave, PM leave and Full day.

Once your On-call Roster has been set up, you can start assigning doctors to your schedule. Further details are found here :

Impact of Leave Roster assignments on Critical Result routing

If a routing rule includes an Ordering (OD) or Attending Doctor (AD) who has been assigned to a leave roster, Rooster will skip them when routing the alert.

Example: If the OD and AD are on leave, Rooster will move on to the next eligible recipient in the routing rule.

The doctor will only be skipped if they meet ALL the conditions as follows:

  • They are an ordering or attending doctor in the critical result.

  • They are on a 'Full day' leave.

  • They are on leave within the office hours of the routing rule. E.g, If a doctor is on leave on 5 May, and a critical result arrives on 6 May at 7:30am (before office hours), they will still be skipped, as the system treats the trigger time as part of 5 May.

Impact of Leave Roster assignments on your Directory and Dashboard

Once your leave roster is updated with assignments, you can begin to see the effects of this on other features on Rooster. You will be able to see indicators for clinicians on leave on:

  • Directory

  • Critical Result Dashboard: Leave indicators will appear for Ordering or Attending doctors if they are on leave the day the critical alert was triggered.

This only happens if the routing rule has "Skip doctors on leave" turned on. Do note that this setting is ON by default for all routing rules , including newly created ones. (Refer to for more details.)
