📱Result Messages

This guide will describe the structure and main actions required from end user (e.g Doctors) on the critical message

Rooster sends critical result and broadcast messages from the following cluster-specific sender numbers:

  • NHG Cluster

    • Production: 75126

    • UAT (Testing): +65 83184450

  • NUHS Cluster

    • Production: 70140

    • UAT (Testing): +65 83382549

How does a critical message look?

  • You will receive an SMS containing critical test result details, including the Accession Number, Patient Information and Criticality type of the result

Note: Criticality type in message header for results can be useful to quickly gauge urgency before replying:

  • Radiology result messages show either 'Critical Result' or 'Unexpected Result'

  • All other lab types will only display 'Critical Result'.

How should I respond to incoming messages?

  • Reply "1" – Yes, this is my patient, I will take action → The result is acknowledged, and you confirm the patient is under your care

  • Reply "2" – No, this is not my patient, but I will take action → The result is acknowledged, but the patient is not under your care

  • Reply "3" – No, this is not my patient, and I will not take action → The result is not acknowledged and will be escalated to the next level.

  • Any other or no response → The result is not acknowledged and will be escalated to the next level, similar to a "3" response.

I received multiple critical result messages. How is my response received?

  • Replies are mapped sequentially to messages received in the last hour. For example:

    • Your first reply will correspond to the first SMS you received.

    • Your second reply will correspond to the second SMS, and so on.

To confirm which message you replied to, compare the Accession Number in your reply with the original critical message received.
